Milogs is designed to keep your life private. This page distinguishes what happens on your device, what optional sync protects, and how media storage and public sharing work.
Local-first by default
Milogs stores your core data primarily on your device, so you can capture and revisit entries without relying on a network connection. Optional sync is a background enhancement, not a requirement for core use.
What optional sync protects
When you enable authenticated sync, Milogs end-to-end encrypts your private content before it is synchronized. That includes journal entries, plans, reflections, and your media files.
Media files are encrypted too
Photos, audio, video, and other media can be stored with a provider you choose, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, Cloudflare R2, or AWS S3. Those files are end-to-end encrypted like the rest of your synced content, so your provider stores only ciphertext it cannot read.
Connected services stay optional
Services such as Google Drive and Calendar are used only after you choose to connect them. You can disconnect integrations and manage account deletion from settings. The privacy policy details the data involved in each integration.
Public sharing is intentional
When you publish a public item, it is meant to be visible at its public link. Publicly shared media and blog post media are the only files Milogs does not end-to-end encrypt. Keep private journal material private, and only publish content you intend to share.
